Recirculation

This is how it works so far:

Raw materials are mined, a product is created with a limited shelf life, after which it is disposed of ("take, make, waste").

This is at the expense of the environment. All bicycles have been produced this way so far. We want it the way nature shows us: in the circulatory system, also known as a circular system (circular economy).

With us, not only the wheel turns in circles.

With us, not only the wheel turns in circles. Below you will find detailed information on the various forms of recycling for each component. We also state the limits of our current possibilities, which are essentially in the area of plastics. The information, markings, separation and return systems required for this simply do not yet exist and have been described in the Roadmap Circular Economy in early 2023.

Furthermore, we want brake pads that are both safe and environmentally friendly, so that abrasion can be completely broken down in nature.

The overview of the recycling of all individual components is summarized in the following PDF (current version currently in progress):

We would like to have the bike you bought from us back.

Definitely! The purchase price includes a repurchase amount (a kind of deposit), which we pay out to you when you return it. The following applies to this:

  • The wheel may be completely worn out through use, no conditions at this point.
  • The wheel may have scratches, surface damage, etc.
  • The age of the bike doesn't matter.
  • The owner of the bike does not matter, but the resale should be documented.
  • The bike must not have any accident damage.
  • The bike should be equipped with original parts. We accept exceptions for chains, brake pads, hoses.
  • If pedals and/or saddles are missing because you have used your own, we will charge a flat-rate deduction.

For deviating conditions, we will be happy to make an offer with the aim of taking the bike back.
